An update on Pierre
Four years and 2.7 months ago, I joined Google search as a Webmaster Trends Analyst dedicated to helping people build better websites for their users.
But all good things must come to an end, and now it's time for a great new adventure.
Starting next week, I’ll be trying my hand as a product manager for a while, still at Google in London. It will be in ads, not search, and that’s all I can say :)
What does this mean for you, dear webmasters? It doesn’t change anything, really. You’re already in great hands with my many Google colleagues and our Top Contributors on the forums taking care of you. And I’m still around and easy to find and follow.
A bit of logistics: I’m scheduled to speak at two conferences in London in May, the International Search Summit and the Search Engine Journal Summit. Come and say hi if you’re attending!
Finally, thank you all for making being a WTA fun! I can say with high precision that I will recall this as one of the highest quality times in my life. May your users always be happy and your sites be mobile-friendly, crawlable, rendered, canonicalized, localized, and correctly marked-up with structured data.
